Norfolk Home and Garden Tour. Visit up to six beautiful homes and gardens on the water of Meadowbrook and Algonquin Park. Picket fences, verdant flowerbeds, and worn brick paths take the place of sidewalks in this secluded haven. These areas were developed in the early 1920s and feature a web of shaded lanes revealing homes of every architectural style and size. Special May Day activities such as a May Pole Dance will be provided at different locations throughout the tour. All will be decorated with beautiful flower arrangements for this annual Garden Club of Virginia event.

Delight in a guided tour of Rowena's Tea Room factory and Gift Shop. Rowena's is filled with almond and lemon pound cakes, an assortment of curds, jams and sauces, and simple and elegant teas. Stroll through the gift shop which displays a full range of team items and whimsical gifts. Make sure to sample the fabulous treats offered throughout the store.

6:00 pm- 7:00 pm

Before dinner sip and enjoy wine tasting at the Mermaid Winery, Virginia's first winery. The Mermaid Wines are made from grapes coming from all over Virginia. So sip and enjoy!

Then dine at Pasha Mezze with a Mediterranean & Anatolian Cuisine with American & European Influences.

After dinner enjoy a famous waffle cone from Doumar's Restaurant where Abe Doumar invented the waffle cone by taking a waffle and rolling it into a cone, to which he added ice cream. Doumar's still bakes cones on the original cone machines. Your group can delight in fresh made ice cream cones from the original machine with advanced notice.
