Day One

Begin your trip with a visit and tour of Lavender Fields and experience the largest grower of Central Virginia’s USDA certified organic herbs. Enjoy lavender ice cream and lavender lemonade.

Roll up your sleeves for a cooking class at Southern Season. This mega store and private cooking school allows you to browse the shops or attend a cooking class or flower arranging class.

Visit Agecroft Hall and learn about foods of 15th century England. This remarkable Tudor style estate was taken down in England and rebuilt along the banks of the James River.

Next door, an 11th century priory awaits you at the Virginia House! Enjoy a tour of the splendid manor house, learn about period table settings and have afternoon tea on the terrace.

Stop in at Chocolates by Kelly and get a first rate chocolate workshop. If you are into parings, add a chocolate/wine paring as you create your own old world handmade truffles.

Tour James River Cellars Winery. This family-owned and operated winery offers award-winning wines from Virginia-grown grapes. Enjoy wine tastings and pre-dinner appetizers!

Enjoy dinner at Hanover Tavern, where many of our forefathers gathered to discuss politics, resting place of weary travelers and a Civil War stopover by both Confederate and Union Troops.

Day Two

Explore Maymont, a gilded Victorian mansion, furnished with rare antiques, silver, porcelains and tapestries, most of which belonged to the original owners, James and Sallie Dooley.

Jump right in with another hands-on class and prepare your own lunch at Miss En Place from the finest and freshest ingredients available. Try your hand at a “chef’s challenge” and get your group in the mood of competition!

Enjoy an exceptional wine tasting and tour at New Kent Winery.

End your day at Lemaire in the beautiful Jefferson Hotel for one of the finest restaurant experiences in Richmond!

Day Three

Start the day at Henricus Historical Park and find out what herbs Native Americans used to cook with and try your hand at pounding corn into meal.

Now off for a tour of the Virginia Historical Society where you'll collect the personal recipes of some of Virginia's First Ladies.

Have lunch at The Tobacco Company and explore this grand old tobacco warehouse turned restaurant!

This afternoon, take a driving tour of the City of Richmond and its historic sites.
