WALK BACK IN TIME.
Tour the trails at Appomattox Courthouse National Historical Park where our “nation reunited” as General Robert E. Lee surrendered to General Ulysses S. Grant, which ended the Civil War. Visit the retreat home, Poplar Forest, of the 3rd US President Thomas Jefferson. Learn the rich history of Jefferson’s private life and take a tour of this octagonal home nestled amongst the Blue Ridge Mountains. Complete with lush English gardens and amazing mountain views, tour the National D-Day Memorial which is dedicated to Allied Forces and those that sacrificed their lives on the beaches of Normandy during World War II.
