One of the eight major venues on the Crooked Road-Virginia's Heritage Music Trail, the original Country Cabin was built in 1937-38 with the encouragement of local musician Kate O’Neil Peters Sturgill, a ballad singer and songwriter. Country Cabin II was built in 2002 to accommodate larger audiences and to host a wider variety of programs. In addition to clogging classes, the site continues to host local musicians and bands performing bluegrass, country and old-time music throughout the year every Saturday night from 8-11 p.m, as well as the annual Dock Boggs Festival. The Country Cabin with its descendant, Country Cabin II, are the oldest currently operating site for traditional music in the Heart of Appalachia. Admission fee: adults and children 12 and up are $4 each. Children 2 to 12.

Admission Fee: Adults $4
