Several museums, including the Renwick (Smithsonian) own Jake's "whimsical" pieces and his whimsical work has been written up in The Washington Post and Traditional Home magazine.

Jake and his wife also have a Bed and Breakfast in their 19th century home, furnished with hand-crafted furniture and with its own kitchen facilities.
