I am a custom furniture maker, designing and building furniture to meet clients' unique aesthetic and functional needs.  Following a free initial design consultation, a client may commission me to design their furnishing.  My design fee is $400.  The client may then commission me to build their furnishing based on this design, with the design fee deducted from their final payment.  Payment terms are 50% of commission price to begin construction, and 50% minus the design fee due upon delivery.  Delivery arrangements are made at the time of commission.
