The Harvester Performance Center is a new mid-size music venue located along Franklin Street in Historic Downtown Rocky Mount. Officially opening its doors on April 11, 2014, the venue will showcase live performances from a variety of genres.
The Harvester, a $2.7 million venue, is expected to host 175 shows annually. It features a covered drop-off area making it easily accessible in any weather, a main room with seating for up to 475 people or space for 700 in a stand-up show, and another music room in the lower level with seating for up to 200 people or standing space for 350. The 40-foot wide stage in the main room and state-of-the-art audio, lighting and video systems will make every show the best concert experience.
Known regionally as the eastern gateway to The Crooked Road, the Harvester will add to a long list of venues in Franklin County where patrons can hear live music – and the roster won't stop at bluegrass. Other featured genres include country, folk, rock and more.
