The LOVEwork at Wolf Creek Indian Village was designed by local high school student Kara Deaton and built by museum guide Kimberly Beagley and her husband Jake Beagley. Deaton's design for the LOVEwork was inspired by Native American culture. The letter L is in the shape of a peace pipe, symbolizing a shared agreement among American Indians. The O is decorated as a dream catcher with the V adorned with metal feathers. The E is brightly painted and features several American Indian symbols.
Visitors are encouraged to take photos with the LOVEwork and share with loved ones on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/VirginiaisforLovers or on Twitter with the special hashtag #LOVEVA. A complete list of the LOVEwork locations is at www.Virginia.org/LOVE.
