The Shenandoah Valley Art Center is a non-profit community art center, established in 1985 for the support, education, enjoyment, and participation of the arts for Waynesboro and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to enhance the quality of art awareness by providing artists an opportunity to exhibit original work and to offer classes, workshops, cultural trips, and musical performances. We provide studio space for artists and have several galleries with often changing exhibits of local and national artists. In our member galleries, members are encouraged to exhibit pieces which center on the monthly theme. Membership is open to the public. SVAC is an affiliate of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. SVAC also sponsers the Virginia Fall Foliage Festival, a juried outdoor art show happening each October (
