The 3rd Annual Lantern Tours, sponsored by the Appomattox 1865 Foundation, the official Friends of the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park, are scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings – September 25, 26, 27. Beginning at 6:30 PM, groups of 22 will be guided through the Park with 6 stops along the way. The Lantern Tours allow visitors to experience the park in the evening, lighted only by lanterns, as the village would have looked way back in the mid-nineteenth century. True stories of real people from Appomattox County and/or people associated with the Civil War are portrayed by actors. This year we will feature six new and different stories and six time slots each evening to accommodate the crowds. The event has sold out every year with many people shut out - so reserve early.

Tickets are $10 and you must reserve in advance. Choose the day: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, September 25, 26, or 27; and the time: 6:30, 6:50, 7:10, 7:30, 7:50, or 8:10. All tour groups are accompanied by knowledgeable guides and light refreshments are included.

To purchase tickets and times now, visit www.lynchburgtickets.com or call Sue at 434-660-9184.

Admission Fee: $10 per adult; $5 for kids 6-12 yrs
