Join A. Wilson Greene as we begin our exploration of the decisive Campaign for Petersburg on the 150th Anniversary of this important chapter in Civil War history. Our tour will go beyond the usual and familiar sites by following the roads and trails that led the armies of Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee across the James River and to the Cockade City of Petersburg. Headquartered in Petersburg, we will examine the important combat between June 15 and June 18, the lesser-known actions of the Second Offensive, Sappony Church, and First Reams Station, and study the infamous Battle of the Crater in detail.
