At first glance, you might think there's little going on in the tiny town of Floyd. Enabled by your guide, though, you will see below the surface, into the stories and histories of its shops, business and personalities. You'll realize there is far more here than meets the eye. The famous Friday Night Jamboree is just one piece of the whole.
Join "embedded citizen" writer, teacher, and photographer Fred First--a Floyd County resident since 1997--on a short and easy walk that circles a block or two beyond THE one traffic light in the county. The one hour tour will feature at least 15 prominent points of interest, and will direct your extended visit to many others at the edge of town and beyond.
Fred also leads nature walks on the Parkway.
