Fishersville - October 29 - Head to the Augusta Expo for the Taste of Home Cooking School National Show where you will learn seasonal recipes that are perfect for every holiday, occasion and skill level. Plus browse through our wonderful vender booths where you can find great deals on personalized totes, sweet goodies, sparkling beauties and so much more! $18-$20 per person.
Charlottesville - November 9 - Come lean from a master - Gabriele Rausse - as he offers a two-and-a-half-hour session to discuss Cooking Unusual Vegetables at Monticello. $15 per person.
Bristow - November 16 - Historic Brentsville is hosting an Open-Hearth Cooking Class to help you prepare for Thanksgiving. An open-hearth cooking historian will demonstrate the basic skills of building a fire and cooking over it. Taste the food you prepare afterwards. Available for ages 12 and up, with reservations, at $30 per person.
Cooking Schools Lynchburg -Culina is a gourmet kitchen offering private classes, kids' parties, corporate team-building events and catering. Special events include singles and married mixers, demonstrations and workshops with area chefs.
Cookology's goal is cooking education. Take a 90-minute hands-on class from one of the two professional chefs on staff. Choose from special themed nighttime cooking classes, if you wish: Family Night, Date Night, Singles Night and Guys' Night. Kids classes available, too. Rates from $45 per person.
