Music Festival in Shenandoah County

Bryce Resort in the southwestern portion of the county is a year-around resort with snow and grass skiing, an 18-hole golf course, horseback riding, tennis and boating on a 45-acre lake. Other adventures include hot-air ballooning above the tree tops to underground wonders at Crystal Caverns, Endless Caverns and Shenandoah Caverns with the great American Celebration on Parade -- a museum full of retired parade floats -- nextdoor!

One of the most popular events in Virginia is the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival in Orkney Springs every summer offering everything from symphonic, big band to jazz and folk music. The county is rich in history and historical sites, too. Civil War buffs can retrace Stonewall Jackson's Valley Campaign and visit New Market Battlefield State Park, which covers 160 acres on the Shenandoah River and includes a museum devoted to the entire Civil War.
