The following 10 locations are what visitors have told us are "must sees" in Loudoun:
- Founded in 1758, the town of Leesburg boasts historic architecture, specialty shops, antiques and art galleries, and historic attractions. Leesburg also hosts many special events throughout the year.
- Middleburg, the nation's horse and hunt capital, offers an array of fine restaurants and unique shops including art galleries and antique shops.
- Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets features more than 110 name-brand stores that offer discounts of 25-65% off retail prices.
- Historic White's Ferry, a marvel of transportation from a by-gone era, offers visitors a scenic ride across the Potomac River. Founded in 1828, the ferry is the only cable-operated ferry operating on the East Coast today.
- Balls Bluff Battlefield Regional Park preserves the site of the October 1861 Civil War battle. The site includes Ball's Bluff National Cemetery and a one-mile loop trial with interpretive signs.
- Loudoun Museum features artifacts and exhibits relating to the more than 300-year history of Loudoun County.
- Historic Morven Park, a Greek Revival mansion, sits on 1,200 acres and is furnished with antiques from around the world. Also on the property is a museum featuring a large collection of horse-drawn carriages and a museum devoted to hounds and hunting.
- Oatlands Plantation is an antebellum plantation and a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The impressive gardens with ornamental statuary and connecting terraces are must sees.
- The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center documents the history of flight. The museum also offers free guided tours, an observation tower of nearby Washington Dulles International Airport, an IMAX theater, flight simulators, and is located 20 miles from the many renowned museums of Washington, DC. Admission to Smithsonian museums is free!
- DC's Wine Country is Loudoun, with 22 wineries set in spectacular settings. Learn about winemaking in unique locations such as a wine cave and several barns. Many wineries offer special events, tastings, and dinners throughout the year.

America's oldest continuously operated inn, Red Fox Inn, was built in 1728 and has offered hospitality to travelers to Middleburg for more than 275 years. Its dining rooms feature hardwood floors and stone fireplaces and its walls are adorned with paintings of foxes, hounds, and horses.
