Join us as Flying Flowers, Southwestern VA's only walk through butterfly house, opens for the season. On Saturday May 10th. we will release Monarchs, Painted Ladies, Swallowtails, Buckeyes, Mourning Cloaks, Red Spotted Purples, Spangled Fritillarys, Commas and Question Marks into Flying Flowers. Located on the grounds of Beagle Ridge Environmental Eduction Center, this structure houses only native butterflies which are collected in the extensive display gardens. Come learn about the life cycle of a butterfly, their needs and the various plantings, as you tour the gardens. You will release their own butterfly, so be sure to bring a camera as these jeweled creatures glide around you searching for nectar and feed them from your fingertips. Registration required for this popular event. $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children

Admission Fee: 10.00 adults
