At the Yorktown Victory Center, a museum of the American Revolution, explore 18th-century culinary practices of Virginia during this three-day event beginning on Thanksgiving Day. Visitors learn about typical soldiers' fare during the war and trace the bounty of a 1780s farm from field to kitchen.
At Jamestown Settlement, a museum of 17th-century Virginia, visitors discover how food was gathered, preserved and prepared on land and at sea by Virginia's English colonists and Powhatan Indians.

Yorktown Victory Center admission is $9.75 for adults and $5.50 for ages 6-12. Save 20% with combination ticket to Jamestown Settlement: $20.50 adults, $10.25 ages 6-12. Children under 6 are free. Free parking. Food preparation in the museums' interpretive areas is for demonstration purposes only. The Jamestown Settlement Café will offer a traditional Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Call the Jamestown Settlement Cafe at (757) 253-2571.
