Fredericksburg - Apr 27 - James Monroe's Birthday Celebration - Come celebrate the 255th anniversary of James Monroe's birth at the James Monroe Museum! We'll serve cake and punch in our garden from 1 to 3 p.m., accompanied by period music by a living history guitar-and-fiddle duo. The museum will be open free of charge all day (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Orange - May 18 - Dolley Madison's Birthday - Celebrate the birthday of the woman who inspired the title "first lady!" Enjoy birthday cake and punch with Dolley in the morning. Then visit the mansion for Dolley's "birthday salon." Free admission for anyone who shares Dolley's name or birthday!
Forest - Jul 4 - Independence Day Celebration at Jefferson's Poplar Forest - The celebration will feature music, dance, living history interpreters, historic craft demonstrations (potters, weavers, and soap-making), storytelling, interactive children's games and much more.
