-Colonial Williamsburg, Montpelier and Mount Vernon Among Many to Thank Veterans-
(Richmond, Va.) - Veterans Day is approaching and many of Virginia's most popular destinations are offering free admission for veterans and active military personnel in honor of their service.
Mount Vernon, Montpelier and Colonial Williamsburg have all just announce that admission will be free of charge on Veterans Day to those who have served and are serving our country. Given Virginia's rich military history - these are just a sampling of many museums and destinations to make this offer as a way of saying thank you. More free offers as well as major discounts for veterans at hotels, B&Bs and restaurants are listed on www.Virginia.org/veteransday.
Virginia is home to some of the finest and most iconic military memorials and museums in the country, from Arlington National Cemetery to the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford. Many sites are always free to visit, including the Iwo Jima Memorial, the Virginia War Memorial and the Air Force Memorial.
