Cape Charles is in Northhampton County on Virginia's Eastern Shore.

This well planned town is the largest in the county. It offers a commercial center with shops, restaurants, antiques, museum, medical services, churches of many denominations, public beach, golf, harbor, marinas, boat ramp, sport fishing, summer rentals, B&B accommodations and the last remaining rail-barge in the country which regularly crosses the Chesapeake Bay to Norfolk.

Points of interest include the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, a 17.6 mile complex which spans the mouth of Chesapeake Bay, the Eastern Shore National Wildlife Refuge and Kiptopeke State Park.

Cape Charles owns one of two public beaches on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and the only public beach on the bayside of the Eastern Shore.
