Albemarle County, Virginia:

Albemarle County is located in the Central Virginia region just east of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The county surrounds the city of Charlottesville, home of the University of Virginia.

Albemarle County is widely recognized as rich in history and beauty. Among its historic attractions are Monticello, home to President Thomas jefferson, and Ash Lawn/Highland, home to President James Monroe and his wife, Dolley.
