Brunswick

Brunswick County is located in the Southern Virginia region and is bounded on the south by North Carolina.

Lake Rawlings, a SCUBA and Camping Park, is one of the most popular outdoor sites in Virginia. The lake features interesting items for the delight of divers, such as a school bus named "Wayne." Plus, its clear water is inviting to snorkelers, too.

Fort Christanna, was erected in 1714 during Alexander Spotswood's administration as Royal Governor and was named in honor of Christ and Queen Anne, the English Queen.

Probably the best reason that the county is known is because it's officially The Birthplace of Brunswick Stew, a hardy meat/vegetable stew cooked in black iron pots outdoors and served at many fall festivals.
