Lancaster County, Virginia:

Lancaster County is located in the eastern portion of Virginia on the tip of the Northern Neck Peninsula in the Chesapeake Bay region of Virginia. The county is an unique community with a shoreline of almost 290 miles and many marinas and charter boats.
Belle Isle State Park is located in Lancaster County and provides plenty of hiking and biking trails, fishing, paddlesports and camping. Another popular attractions is the beautiful Tides Inn overlooking Carter's Creek, also known at "Millionaire's Row." The Tides Inn offers its guests golf, tennis, croquet and a full service spa, along with four unique restaurants.
Established in 1651, the county has a rich historical heritage. Christ Church in Irvington is one of the oldest colonial churches in Virginia. And the Mary Ball Washington Museum, founded in honor of George Washington's mother, a Lancaster County native, draws many visitors for its extensive genealogical research information.
