James Madison Museum, The

Located in Madison's home county of Orange, VA. Exhibits deal with the life and times of Madison and include furnishings from Montpelier, correspondence, fashions, and books from the Madison library. There is an unusual Hall of Agriculture with a 1753 "cube" house, farm devices, machinery and tools . Special exhibits concerned with the rural culture of central Virginia are presented on a regular basis.
