The mansionis constructed of a natural fired brick of the times that is no longer manufactured. There are nine fireplaces individually decorated with ceramic tiles as is the main porch. The mansion has been utilized as a residence, a funeral home and a veterans of foreign wars out post. It has been operated as a B&B / Inn since the late 1980s and is located in Historic Old Towne Petersburg, Virginia. Restaurants, antique shops, The Appomattox River walk and the village's farmers market (open Spring and Summer) are just a short walk away.
