|
Region: Tidewater and Hampton Roads
Locality: Virginia Beach City Virginia Beach oceanfront 17th, 24th, and 31st Street Parks Virginia Beach, VA 23451 "Sandstock" - a beach-inspired variation on "Woodstock" pays homage to the music of the 60's, 70's and 80's. National and local tribute artists who run the gamut from performers like Led Zeppelin to Sly and the Family Stone to Sha-Na-Na will crank our hits on multiple stages. Even "The King" himself will get in on the act with special shows at 17th Street Park. To set the stage, each park will be decorated - thrill to the "Flower Power" hippies of the 60's, the "Disco Divas" of the 70's and the "big hair" rockers of the 80's! To electrify the night, a laser light show explodes to music of Pink Floyd! To add a touch of whimsy and period authenticity, psychedelic "hippie" vans provided by local and regional VW clubs, will be on display. Games and activities for kids will round out this "blast from the past!" Date: Open Daily Friday, June 25, 2010 - Sunday, June 27, 2010 Children Welcome Telephone: Virginia Beach Visitor Center: Virginia Beach Visitor Center: Website: www.beachstreetusa.com |
