Driving Directions

The Mathews County Visitor & Information Center provides maps, brochures, and event tickets, as well as self-guided tours including the Blueways Guide with charts detailing over 90 miles of water trails, Mathews Birding Trails, Bicycling Routes and Driving Tours.

The Visitor Center works in partnership with the County of Mathews (www.co.mathews.va.us) and the Mathews Chamber of Commerce (804-725-9000) to provide current information to visitors on events and business opportunities within the county.

The Center is also home to the "Made in Mathews Showcase," filled with original works created by local Mathews artisans, Chesapeake Bay exhibits, Mathews historical displays and more.

The center, a Regional Information Center in the Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network, is located in historic Sibley's General Store on Main Street Mathews.
