Star Museum showcases The Weisfeld Collection, one of the east coast’s great archives, spanning over a century. Located within Abingdon’s Historic District, the museum’s rotating collection contains one-of-a-kind pieces, some from the personal estates of celebrities; others used in film, theatre, concert or television performance.
A multitude of highly collectible names are present: Gable, Garland, Monroe, Dean, Presley, et. al. Autographed memorabilia and original art complete the dazzling effect.
The museum is in walking distance of Barter Theatre and The Tavern, offering fine dining and libations.
Regular hours are Wed-Sat.,1-7; but visitors or groups are encouraged to schedule guided tours day or evening, by calling 276-608-7452; or emailing star@eva.org.
