John Smith was the first tourist to the shores of the Northern Neck in 1607. Representing four historic counties and the businesses of the Northern Neck, the Northern Neck Tourism Council promotes the sites and attractions of this beautiful historic region.

Twenty one sites are on the Coastal birding trail located in the Northern Neck. If hiking the vine is more to your taste, visit the Northern Neck Wine Trail.

The region abounds in nature, water sites, historic villages and towns, antiques, classic B&b's, excellent dining, great golf, unique shopping, and friendly folks.
