Northern Virginia

Bluemont - Sep 18-19 - Bluemont Fair - Enjoy live music, over 100 juried crafters, artisan demonstrations, antiques, local art, wine tastings, pie and pickling contests, and more. A 10K race kicks off the event at 8am on Saturday.

Blue Ridge Highlands

Abingdon - Sep 13-18 - Washington County Fair & Burley Festival - Chili cook-off, beauty pageant, youth and adult agricultural and home economics exhibits, and livestock shows that include beef cattle, sheep, goat, dairy, swine and horse shows.

Floyd - Sep 18 - Floyd Harvest Festival & County Fair - A full day of exhibits, music, heritage art demonstrations, games, and much more.

Stuart - Sep 21-25 - Patrick County Agricultural Fair - Great entertainment nightly, Miss Patrick County Fair Beauty Pageant, Sprint Car Races, Tractor Pull, Demolition Derby, agricultural exhibits, livestock and more!

Central Virginia

Amelia Court House - Sep 8-12 - Amelia County Fair - "Kiss the Pig" contest, children's tent, petting zoo, Star Family Circus, demolition derby and wrestling! There will be food vendors, and booths by local merchants.

Doswell - Sep 23-Oct 3 - State Fair of Virginia - The State Fair of Virginia makes its first appearance in its new home in Caroline County - The Meadow Event Park, birthplace of 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat. This year's state fair will have all the great rides and attractions, including animals like newborn calves at the Birthing Center, exhibits, competitions, and much more!

Farmville - Sep 24- Oct. 2- Five County Fair - The Five County Fair is host to Appomattox, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, and Prince Edward Counties. Come enjoy music, beauty pageants, talent show, ugly truck contest and much more!

Heart of Appalachia

Castlewood - Sep 3-11 - Russell County Fair & Horse Show - An old-fashioned country fair, midway rides, games, horse show, beauty contest, music and entertainment. See bluegrass legend Dr. Ralph Stanley perform.
