Ashland - The Ashland Farmer's Market is open Saturdays May through November. This is the place to find those famous Hanover tomatoes as well as herbs and flowers!
Lynchburg - The Lynchburg Community Market is the third oldest farmer's market in the country! In addition to the fresh farmers' wares on Saturday, the Market also hosts artisans. Open daily year 'round.
Nellysford - An authentic producers-only market, the Farmer's Market in Nelson County also includes live music and baked goods. Open daily May through October.
Orange - The Orange County Farmers Market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays May through November in Taylor Park. It is also open April through December in the Historic Orange Trail Station, so don't let the cold keep you away!
Richmond - The 17th Street Farmers' Market is perhaps Virginia's oldest farmers' market, tracing back to 1737. Enjoy cutting out the middle man by shopping locally May through October.

Dayton - Enjoy a year 'round indoor market - the Dayton Farmer's Market! In addition to season fruits and vegetables, the Market hosts arts and crafts vendors. Grab an ice cream while you browse!
Harrisonburg - Find baked goods, fresh meats, veggies and produce at the Harrisonburg Downtown Farmer's Market. Stop by Tuesdays and Saturdays mid-April through Thanksgiving.
Harrisonburg - Choose from 20+ local vendors at the Shenandoah Heritage Farmers Market!
Lexington - Pick up fresh vegetables and flowers at the Lexington Farmers Market from May through October.
Monterey - From June through September the Highland Farmers' Market offers a selection of fresh produce, handcut flowers, jams and jellies, and homemade baked goods.
Roanoke - Enjoy the Historic Roanoke City Market, a vibrant open-air market which continues to operate as a vital center for Downtown Roanoke. Visit the Market year-round, Monday through Saturday.
Staunton - Choose from a wide variety of fresh produce, herbs, flowers and more at the Staunton Augusta Farmers' Market on Saturdays from April through Thanksgiving.
Winchester - It's not all about the fresh produce (though there is some of that, too!) at the Winchester City Market. Join in the fun of live music, cooking demonstrations and more every Saturday June through October!

Abingdon - The Abingdon Farmers Market is the premier Market for fresh, locally produced foods in southwest Virginia. Available every Wednesday and Saturday morning mid-April through mid-November.
Galax - The Galax Downtown Farmer's Market is open Fridays and Saturdays June through mid-October and offers produce, baked goods and crafts.
Hillsville - stop and purchase fresh locally grown produce and related products, such as jams, honey, and jellies at the Southwest Virginia Farmers' Market.
Pulaski - Come buy local fruits and vegetables and some crafts, including products from the local Amish community, at the Pulaski Farmers Market! Come by Saturdays from mid-May to mid-October.
Rocky Mount - The Farmer's Market features a variety of fresh produce, home baked goods, arts, crafts, plants, fresh cut flowers, honey, greenery, jams, jellies and a variety of other seasonal items. Monday through Saturday.

Danville - The Danville Farmer's Market is open every Saturday May through October. Purchase farm fresh produce, baked goods, jams and jellys, and quality arts and crafts.
Martinsville - For approximately 25 years, folks have come to the Uptown Martinsville Farmers' Market to buy, sell, and exchange goods. Open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings, May through December.

Mathews - At the Court Green Farmers Market you can find seasonal, locally-grown produce, homemade baked goods, crafts, plants, herbs and flowers on Saturdays, April through October.
Gloucester - The Ware Neck Produce Market is a year 'round country farm market that features fresh local fruits, vegetables, flowers, holiday decorations, wreaths and Christmas trees!
Heathesville - The Heathsville Farmers Market is every 3rd Saturday of the month from April through October. Pick up produce, crafts, plants, flags, and baked goods!
Irvington - Come rain or shine the first Saturday of every month April through December for an old-fashioned open-air market - the Irvington Farmers' Market! Live music and special activities for children at each market.
More Chesapeake Bay Farmers' Markets
Suffolk - Within the City of Suffolk, there are 1,034 farms, comprising 152,739 acres, in agricultural production (2004). The Suffolk Farmers' Market serves as an outlet for some of the fruit, vegetables and plants grown on these farms - beans, corn, grapes, greens, melons, peanuts, squash, strawberries, sunflowers, tomatoes and much more! Open Saturdays.
Virginia Beach - For over 30 years fresh, local produce has been available at the Virginia Beach Farmers Market. The Market also features plants, a dairy store, a butcher shop, a candy store, specialty home & garden gifts, specialty backyard feeders, an organic grocer and a restaurant. The Market is open year-round.
Williamsburg - Among the local products available at the Williamsburg Farmers' Market are organic produce; free-range chickens, pork, and bison; oysters and crabs; potted perennials, annuals, and herb plants; baked goods; honey; mushrooms; peanuts, goat cheese; and cut flowers. Open Saturdays May through October.

Alexandria - Old Town Alexandria's Market Square Farmer’s Market is thought to be one of the nation's oldest continually operating farmer's markets. Farmers and artists have been selling their products since 1753. Open Saturday mornings year' round.
Arlington - The Ballston Farmers Market is open Fridays June through mid-October. Grab ready-to-eat lunch fare and listen to live music during the noon hour!
Dale City - The Dale City Farmers Market is a popular open-air market where local farmers offer the freshest fruits and vegetables, jams, honey, cheeses, baked goods, herbs, and fresh cut flowers in the area. Open Sunday mornings spring through November.
Manassas - Enjoy a wide variety of homegrown foods at the Manassas Farmer’s Market for the best and freshest of local produce, breads, organic meat and seafood. Open Thursdays and Saturdays April through October.
Middleburg - The Loudoun Valley HomeGrown Markets Association sponsors seven Farmers Markets in Loudoun County. All are open Saturdays May through October.
Vienna - Vienna has two farmers markets to cater to your desire for fresh fruits and vegatables. One is held on Saturdays, the other on Wednesdays. Both are open early May through late October.
Warrenton - Area farmers sell a variety of seasonal produce April through December at the Warrenton Farmers' Market.
