As a general rule, Virginia State Park cabins are available for weekly rental only from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Otherwise, there is a two-night minimum stay required. State Park accommodations are climate-controlled but typically do not include TV, dishwasher or laundry facilities. Please consult each park for specific amenities.

Douthat State Park Cabins - Douthat is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the systems original six parks. Enjoy the 50-acre lake when you stay in one of 18 one-bedroom cabins, 13 two-bedroom cabins, one three-bedroom cabin, one five-bedroom cabin, or two six-bedroom lodges.
Shenandoah River State Park Cabins - The park is 1,604 acres and includes 5.6 miles of river frontage on the south fork of the Shenandoah River. Massanutten Mountain is to the west and Shenandoah National Park is to the east. Book your six-bedroom lodge, two-bedroom cabin or three-bedroom cabin.
Breaks Interstate Park Luxury Cabins - Five hand-hewn log cabins are perched along the waterfront and offer more than comfortable accommodations for up to 8 adults. No pets and no smoking.
Natural Tunnel State Park Cabins and Lodge - Settle in to what is sometimes called the "Eighth Wonder of the World," Natural Tunnel. Choose from ten cabins and one six-bedroom lodge.
Southwest Virginia Museum Cottage - Situated on one of the state's historical state parks, the Poplar Hill Cottage is a garden-themed three-bedroom, two-bath getaway. Your modern amenities await.
Kiptopeke State Park Lodges, RVs, and Yurt - Easily access the Chesapeake Bay and enjoy the beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Choose from five six-bedroom lodge, seven RV rentals, and a very sweet little yurt (a cross between a cabin and a tent). Kiptopeke's yurt is the only one in the park system.
Occoneechee State Park Cabins and Lodge - The expansive Buggs Island Lake is an enjoyable view from your choice of two six-bedroom lodges, nine two-bedroom cabins, and two three-bedroom cabins. They're quite comfortable for the couple or family.
Staunton River State Park Camping and Cabins - One of the original six state parks, Staunton River shares a Buggs Island Lake view, too, as well as frontage on the Dan and Staunton rivers. Choose from a one-room efficiency, two one-bedroom cabins, and four two-bedroom cabins.

Bear Creek Lake State Park Camping and Cabins - A 40-acre lake is your playground when you stay at Bear Creek. Book the Bear Creek Lodge (accommodates 16) or one of nine cabins (10 two-bedroom [4 with a waterview] and two three-bedroom [1 with waterview]) and enjoy the 16,000 acre Cumberland State Forest.
James River State Park Cabins - 1,500 acres of meadows and river frontage provide great views and outdoor enjoyment for you at James River State Park. Take your pick of 13 two-bedroom cabins, two three-bedroom cabins, and two six-bedroom lodges.
Smith Mountain Lake State Park Cabins - Situated on the second largest body of freshwater in the state, Smith Mountain Lake State Park is perfect for water enthusiasts and everyone else. In addition to a full range of water related activities, including swimming, fishing and boating, the park offers miles of hiking trails, housekeeping cabins, camping, picnicking, a visitor center and interpretive programs. The park has 20 cabins; 19 have two bedrooms and one has three bedrooms.
Twin Lakes State Park Cabins - A secluded lakefront setting is what you desire, right? If so, book our four-bedroom lodge or one of the seven two-bedroom cabins.
Claytor Lake State Park Cabins - Located along the 4,500-acre, 21-mile long Claytor Lake in the New River Valley of southwestern Virginia, Claytor Lake State Park offers many activities for water and land enthusiasts. It has a marina and meeting facility and is easily accessible from Interstate 81. Come to swim, hike the miles of nature trails, and of course get comfortable in a cabin. Twelve two-bedroom, one three-bedroom, and three six-bedroom cabins provide a cozy atmosphere to enjoy family time.
Fairy Stone State Park Cabin Rentals - Fairy Stone Lodge has five bedrooms and three baths. Settle in for your family's adventure. Seeking smaller? There is one one-bedroom cabin and 21 two-bedroom cabins.
Hungry Mother State Park Lodge - If you're seeking a large lodge for a family getaway, try this lodge that sleeps 15. It's handicap accessible and has a great view of the park.
Belle Isle House and Guest House - Belle Isle State Park offers the elegant and roomy Bel Air House as well as the quaint Bel Air Guest House, which is a mere 15 feet from a pretty cove on Deep Creek. They can be rented together or separately. Both are nicely appointed, and their location, which offers beautiful views of the Rappahannock River, is ideal for weddings.
Westmoreland State Park Cabins and Retreat - Near great historical sites and the amazing Potomac River, Westmoreland State Park offers a retreat that sleeps 16, as well as three one-room efficiencies, four one-bedroom cabins, and 19 two-bedroom cabins.
Lake Anna State Park Cabins - A lovely wooded reprieve, Lake Anna offers 10 two-bedroom cabins, seven of which have a view of the lake.
Chippokes Plantation State Park Cottages - The park has a wide variety of traditional offerings, including a swimming complex, visitor center, picnic facilities, and hiking and biking trails. It has four Colonial style cottages for rent. One is a three-bedroom cabin, two are two-bedroom units and the fourth is a one-bedroom cabin. Cabin three, the one-bedroom Osborne House, is ADA-accessible. Maximum occupancy varies so please call the park for details. The cottages have TVs.
First Landing State Park Cabins - Virginia's most popular state park, First Landing is near Virginia Beach so there are plenty of nearby restaurants. The park has 20 two-bedroom cabins, two of which are handicapped-accessible. All cabins have fireplaces and decks and are climate-controlled. The park's boat launch is free for overnight guests. The cabins have no TV, phone, dishwasher, washing machine or dryer, but there are laundry facilities at the park. Up to six guests are allowed per cabin.
