Abingdon - August 22 - Heartwood's Venue Showcases some of the best upcoming regional acts every 4th Thursday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. No admission, but donations welcome. Wytheville - August 2 - The After Hours Concert in Withers Park is a fantastic show with upbeat musicians. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.; shows start at 6:30 p.m.Marion - August 10 - Live music hits the Marion Farmers' Market one Saturday per month from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. during Marion's Summer Music Concert Series. Food and beverage concessions available. The concert is free!

Afton - August 17 - Cardinal Point Winery's Concert Series is a music event to collect non-perishable items for local food banks. You'll love the acts slated for this summer.Afton - August 24 - Afton After Hours at Afton Mountain Vineyards is a great way to chill-out with a chilled glass of Virginia wine. Music from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Martinsville - August 17 - Bluegrass at the Rives Concert Series is provided by the Lions Club. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the Pot Luck Band kicking off the night at 5:30. Bring your old eyeglasses for donation.Martinsville - August 23 - Bring your camp chair and settle in for fun Friday nights at the TGIF Summer Concert Series.
