    Owned by the Zonin family, proprietors of the largest Italian wine company, producing wine since 1821, Barboursville Vineyards concentrates on quality. Luca Paschina, Gen. Mgr. and winemaker is a graduate from Umberto I Institute of Oenology in Alba, Italy.


    Tastings everyday in the newly enlarged tasting room. Enjoy a visit to a historic site (Barboursville Ruins) and a modern winery. Picnic area available.

    Keswick Vineyards is located at the historic 400-acre Edgewood Estate in Keswick. The land was part of the original 1727 Nicholas Meriwether Crown Grant that comprised nearly 18,000 acres on the east side of the Southwest Mountains. Keswick's first vintage produced 38 medals and several prestigious awards, including “Best White Wine in America” and "Best in Class." This family owned and operated winery makes Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Touriga, Chambourcin, Norton and Bordeaux blends and continue to garner awards for their efforts. Keswick's beautiful tasting room with their gracious and knowledgeable staff is open for visitors from 9am till 5pm seven days a week (excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day). Kids and pets are always welcome. There is plenty of space outside to picnic and play yard games while enjoying the view of the vineyards and mountains. Eastbound I64 take exit 124, right onto Rt 250E, left onto Rt 22E to Rt 231N.

    Jefferson Vineyards is located on Thomas Jefferson's and Philip Mazzei's 1774 vineyard sites, just one mile south of Monticello. This is also where Virginia's first commercial wine company was founded, with Jefferson's backing.  We enjoy what Wine Spectator calls "...the region's most consistent track record." Our tasting room is open 7 days a week, year round. Tasting fee is $10 per person and includes a Riedel souvenir tasting glass. Ten to eleven wines are sampled. Shaded deck area with tables and chairs is available for picnicking, with full gourmet lunches available from our neighbour, SALT, just across from the entrance to the winery grounds. Winery tours are generally given on the hour at noon, 1pm and 2pm. Gifts, clothing and wine related items are also available in the tasting room.

    Pollak Vineyards, a dream of Margo and David Pollak, is a boutique-sized winery on a 98-acre farm in Greenwood, Virginia, just west of Charlottesville. With the goal of making French-style wines from estate-grown grapes, the Pollaks have created a winery with superb wines and spectacular views.     We invite you to bring dogs to the property during normal business hours as long as they are kept outside of the tasting room and remain on a leash, and are cleaned up after when nature calls.
