Virginia Green is the Commonwealth of Virginia’s campaign to promote environmentally-friendly practices in all aspects of Virginia’s tourism industry. Virginia Green has established "core activities" specific to each sector of tourism, and these practices are considered the required minimum for participation in the program. However, Virginia Green encourages its participants to reduce their environmental impacts in all aspects of their operations, and this profile provides a full list of all their “green” activities. These are the activities that guests / customers can expect to find when they visit this facility.

Natural Bridge- National Historic Landmark

Natural Bridge is one of the oldest tourist destinations in the United States. The Natural Bridge of Virginia is located in the community of Natural Bridge, which is located in Rockbridge County. The Bridge has been included in several "Seven Natural Wonders of the World" lists, mostly in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It has been designated a National Historic Landmark, a Virginia Historic Landmark, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The Natural Bridge joined Virginia Green to promote the conservation of the National Historic Landmark for education and enjoyment by future generations.

- Use electronic correspondence and forms when possible

Use water efficiently.
- Track overall water usage and wastewater costs (required for Virginia Green) 
- Perform preventative maintenance to stop drips and leaks  
- Have an effective landscape management plan that includes one or more of the following:  
- Maintain vegetative buffers around streams and ponds  

Conserve energy.

- Have had an energy audit to identify efficiency opportunities within the past 12 months  
- Use natural lighting
