Virginia Green is the Commonwealth of Virginia’s campaign to promote environmentally-friendly practices in all aspects of Virginia’s tourism industry. Virginia Green has established "core activities" specific to each sector of tourism, and these practices are considered the required minimum for participation in the program. However, Virginia Green encourages its participants to reduce their environmental impacts in all aspects of their operations, and this profile provides a full list of all their “green” activities. These are the activities that guests / customers can expect to find when they visit this facility.
The Mountain Rose Inn
This historic 1901 Farm house is a now a bed and breakfast Inn that has five guest rooms and serves a four course breakfast to its guests.
To promote to our guests our commitment to not waste the earths resources, and possibly encourage them to apply similar standards to their households.
Our area is blessed to have many local and organic farms and wineries and we are willing to pay a little more for those products and services which make the overall experience better for our guests.
