    Speaking of the arts, the Workhouse Arts Center at Lorton offers an unforgettable, hands-on creative experience.  Set on 55 acres of historic land that was once the D.C. reformatory, the Workhouse Arts Center provides a home for more than 150 of the region’s finest professional and emerging artists.  If you have a passion for nature, take in the cascading falls and fabulous hiking trails of Great Falls National Park to satisfy your love of the great outdoors.
