What do T Rex, George Washington, Daniel Boone, Clara Barton, Walt Whitman, Eppa Rixey, and Pete Hill have in common? Culpeper, of course! The Museum of Culpeper History houses long-term and changing exhibitions illuminating Culpeper's rich heritage. Some of these displays include artifacts from local dinosaur activity millions of years ago, American Indian life before the advance of the European settler, the American Revolution, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, and a wide variety of 20th/century displays on social life, sports, and events unique to Culpeper. A museum shop is on the premises. Special exhibits, hands-on activities, educational tours, and special events are part of the Museum's creative programming. The Museum is open from Monday through Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm; Sunday 1 - 5 pm. It is closed in January so that we can change exhibits, but special tours can be arranged. Come visit!
