Point of Honor stands on a tract cleared from the wilderness where Monacan Indians once camped, and has been home to some of 19th century Virginia’s most remarkable citizens. Completed in 1815 by Dr. George Cabell, his Federal style mansion overlooking the James River is beautifully restored to the Era of Good Feelings. Dufour's dramatic Monuments of Paris mural paper graces the parlor and compliments the glorious vista of the historic James River seen from its windows.
