Chippokes Plantation State Park is one of the oldest working farms in the United States. Chippokes is a living historical exhibit located in a rural agricultural area along the James River in Surry County. In addition, the park has a wide variety of traditional park offerings, including a swimming complex, visitor center, picnic facilities, and hiking and biking trails.
The park has four Colonial style cottages for rent. One is a three-bedroom cabin, two are two-bedroom units and the fourth is a one-bedroom cabin. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend the cottages are rented by the week, beginning on Saturday. Otherwise, a two-night minimum stay is required. Cabin three, the one-bedroom Osborne House, is ADA-accessible. Maximum occupancy varies so please call the park for details.
