Hidden Valley Recreation Area in the George Washington National Forest offers excellent fishing in the Jackson River for stocked and native trout and other cold water fish species. The 20 miles of trails offer excellent opportunities for hiking, enjoying scenic views, fishing and hunting access, and for mountain biking. 180 acres of hayfields offer viewing of woodchucks, deer, rabbits, and early succession wildlife. Hunting is popular during the autumn game seasons and spring gobbler season.
When exploring the rustic nature of Hidden Valley, visitors flock to Poor Farm, one of the most popular fishing, hunting and dispersed camping spots in the Warm Springs Ranger District.
