Find Your Park at Shenandoah!
Skyland, first called Stony Man Camp, was begun in 1888 by George Freeman Pollock, Jr. Influential in establishing Shenandoah as a national park, Pollock chose the perfect spot for his summer retreat. At 3,680 feet, the highest point on the Skyline Drive, he had breathtaking views of the Shenandoah Valley. Today Skyland offers guests 178 rooms ranging from rustic cabins to cozy suites and newly renovated rooms with spectacular valley and mountain vistas. Skyland is also a pet friendly property.
The Pollock Dining Room features regional cuisine and free family-friendly entertainment is scheduled nightly in the Mountain Taproom.
Skyland is a perfect venue for weddings, team building retreats, family reunions and other events. The historic Conference Building accommodates up to 100 people. Call our group sales office at 866-383-2922 for information or to schedule a site visit.
Guided horseback rides depart daily from the Skyland stables and special events such as Wine Tastings, Night Skies Programs, the Sept. 14 Apple Butter Celebration, and much more are held throughout the season.
