The Catawba Valley Farmers Market is open Thursdays from 3:30 to 7:00 PM from mid May through mid October. We are located at the Catawba Community Center off Rt. 311 near The Homeplace Restaurant, in "downtown" Catawba. The Appalachian Trail is nearby. Opening day for the 2018 season is May 10, just in time for Mother's Day gift-buying.
Check out our great selection of fresh, locally-grown vegetables, herbs, honey, fruits, plants, pork, beef & chicken, eggs, jams, pickles, breads, and pastries. Local residents also offer a varied selection of handicrafts including birdhouses, baskets, wooden writing pens, pottery, cookbooks, barnwood-framed photography, candles, goat-milk-based bath & beauty products, & notecards. Opening day and early summer markets will feature hanging baskets, potted plants, bedding plants & native wildflowers.
Music, cooking demos, & educational displays are often featured. Our Facebook page gives weekly updates on foods & crafts available, special events, etc.
The Catawba Community Center is a Roanoke County park with playground, inside restrooms & free parking. The Farmers Market is held rain or shine.
Come out to the scenic and peaceful Catawba Valley for local foods, arts and crafts, and get to know the folks who produce these foods and crafts for you!
