Virginia Gold Orchards is a family owned business established by YoungSuk and Paul Estabrook in 1990. Asian pears are unique, but what makes Virginia Gold Orchards extra special is the fact that their pears are certified organic and still meet "Virginia's Finest" standards. This family business that started from scratch has become internationally known. Presently the orchard consists of about 4,000 trees of 10 different varieties. A box of pears is a great gift for all occasions! The orchard is open to visitors August through November, daily 10am-5pm (closed Tuesday), and offers tastings of the various fruits, picnic tables, a picnic pavilion and a self-guided tour. We also offer mail order certified organic Asian Pears August through November.
