This LOVEwork is accessible to the public during daylight hours, but please respect our guests’ privacy by calling ahead if possible. (We’d be happy to take your picture as well!)
The LOVEwork is located on the back side of one of our buildings that contains three of our guestrooms, across from the main house with pool and perennial gardens in between. Please come through gardens and look back to the right. The Love is also visible via watercraft from Tabbs Creek just off the East River!
Approximately 6.5 feet tall and 25 feet long, our LOVE was inspired by the history of our property – and 1872 farmhouse turned B&B – as well as our love of Chesapeake Bay life, fresh local seafood, and our county’s Waterman’s heritage.
Local waterman donated the old commercial crab pots for the “L” and the buoy floats that mark crab pots for the “E.” The "O" is made from an old shed door and windows and the "V" from shutters surrounded by fishnet rope and floats all salvaged from the main house when we remodeled in 2009 to turn into a B&B. Underneath, the SUP board represents the many opportunities for paddle-sports in Mathew County.
