Virginia Theme Parks

Beckoning families year after year ...
Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion are two of the world's most spectacular theme parks. Stretch your stay and enjoy both!

Busch Gardens®

Roller Coaster

Opening day - March 24!

The European setting of Busch Gardens® has been voted "The World's Most Beautiful Theme Park" every year since 1990, and proves to be a delight for adults. But it's the rides that thrill the kids and give it another distinction, "The World's Favorite Theme Park!"

Visit England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany and Italy without the hassle of passports, customs and language barriers. Every country at Busch Gardens showcases popular foods, landmarks, gardens, shops and entertainment that put you in the middle of a particular European village. Hit the roller coasters of each country, too. Two of Busch Gardens' six coasters are rated in the Top 25 in the World!

New in 2018

Busch Gardens Williamsburg has a new virtual reality ride, debuting in spring 2018. The park’s newest attraction will be called Battle For Eire™—Action VR Ride.  Located in the Ireland village of the park, Battle For Eire is a marriage of a motion-based theater simulator with state-of-the-art 360-degree virtual reality headsets, creating an innovative experience unlike any other in the attraction industry. Riders will be completely immersed within the story and be able to see, hear and feel actions happening all around them, both through the virtual reality headsets and within the motions of the simulator.

The revolutionary VR attraction will feature a fierce fairy warrior named Addie, who will lead riders on an unforgettable adventure through her homeland, Ireland.

InvadR The Vikings are taking over New France this spring as Busch Gardens Williamsburg adds InvadR to its collection of world-class coasters. This family thrill ride will be the park’s first wooden coaster. Fly over InvadR’s nine air-time hills, including a 74-foot plunge that reaches speeds of almost 50 miles per hour.

Busch Gardens Tempesto Tempesto recreates the signature stunt of the classic Italian daredevil for which it is named. Tight turns are entered at 63 miles per hour only to complete inversions at 154 feet. Three launches create the signature loop-the-loop in this invigorating 55-second ride.

Verbolten is a world-class coaster experience. Ride along through the Black Forest of Germany's Oktoberfest area on this multi-launch, electromagnetic, indoor/outdoor, completely exhilarating new ride. Beware the unexpected twists, turns, and plunges!

Busch Gardens brings back its food and wine festival. During the experience you'll find special and unique foods and beverages from around the world. July and August will bring special entertainment, culinary experiences and Summer Nights Concerts.

Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream® offers chills and thrills to guests brave enough to venture into this cursed park. Navigate through Wendigo Woods™, one of five Terror-tories™; brave a darkly entertaining show like Monster Stomp™ on Ripper Row™ or explore six haunted houses waiting for those daring enough to enter the park after dark. Be warned, at 6 p.m. Busch Gardens® becomes a seriously scary place and may not be suitable for little ones. Please use discretion when bringing children into the park at this time. The curse spreads September 22 and continues weekends through October 28.
