Finish the day with evening performances from live music at venues such as Mtn’ Jax Restaurant & Pub or if available, enjoy a theatre performance from PHCC Patriot Players or TheatreWorks Community Players. After a day full of activities, relax for the night in a quaint local B&B such as the Simmons House or 712 Mulberry.

Day Two

Reconnect with nature and each other by starting your day with a paddle down the Smith River. No equipment, no problem! Contact the folks at Smith River Outfitters for equipment rentals, guided tours, and more. If you enjoy staying on dry land, enjoy the beautiful fall foliage by taking a walk, bike, or hike on one of our many trails that are part of the Smith River Trail System. After your morning adventures, spend a relaxing afternoon exploring our local craft brewery and wineries. Mountain Valley Brewing is focused on providing unique, delicious beer you can't get anywhere else. They use fresh hops from their farm and turn to local farmers for raw ingredients like honey, fruit, grain and barely. If wine is more your style, visit Hamlet Vineyards, a beautiful vineyard that offers tastings on Sunday afternoons from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, no appointment necessary. Enjoy the beauty of the vineyard during autumn in the tasting room or the terrace. Creating wines since 2003, Preston Ridge Winery offers a comfortable place to meet friends or escape from the daily stress of life to enjoy a glass of fine wine and have quiet time. All three venues offer a delightful afternoon retreat to relax and unwind.
