Dug In Farms sells items from its own farm as well as goods from other local farmers and makers at its farm stand just off Route 3. There is always something fresh and creative available including flowers, eggs, salad dressings, squash, freshly shucked oysters, unique crafts, and so much more. The stand is open every day 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the staff is ready to help you with your recipe idea.

Visit the White Stone farm stand for fresh, delicious, and healthy food. Old Farm Truck always offers up locally sourced food and good conversation. More than 10 seasons of operation have made this a local mainstay. River Realm natives and visitors alike come here to shop more than 150 different varieties of fruits and vegetables from more than a dozen local farms.

The Kellum family is well known in the area for its oyster business, which spans generations and fuels stores around the country with River Realm oysters. The family also brings its seafood to you at its storefront, Kellum Farms Produce & Seafood. They also carry specialties like crab pie, local milk, fresh barbeque, handmade gifts, seasonal produce, handmade gifts. and Amish goods.

This Deltaville destination is inspiring and always stocked. Merryvale Farm grows their own variety of produce right on site, which they pick daily. Merryvale also carries goods from other Virginia farmers. The seasonal open-air farm stand opens during the spring and stays open until sweet potatoes are done in the fall. Stock up on green beans, peppers, tomatoes, cantaloupes, potatoes, watermelons, sweet corn, squash, peppers, pumpkins, onions, cucumbers, and strawberries. Merryvale also carries local seafood like crabs, scallops, oysters, and fish alongside eggs and meat.

This traditional family-owned farmstand in Saluda has a little bit of everything– wine, micro beer, peanuts, gourmet jams, baked goods, salsa. In addition to their own fresh, locally sourced produce, visitors can discover a beautiful selection of flowers and bedding plants for every season. In true River Real fashion, you can also add fresh seasonal seafood like soft shell crabs and oysters to your basket.

Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park waterfront property for this unique River Real farmer’s market! Stroll through and explore more than 30 vendors with a variety of finds to bring home including freshly grown produce, local goat cheeses, hand-made soaps, farm-fresh eggs, fine crafts, art, jewelry and more! Get a little bit of history while you’re there and step inside to learn about our boat building past.

Typically, the Kilmarnock Farmers Market takes over Town Center Park the 4th Saturday of each month, starting in May and running until October. During the 2021 season, this market is on hold, but will return in 2022! This is a traditional farm-to-table and bay-to-table market. Support a variety of local vendors who sell high-quality meat, seafood, vegetables, fruits, baked goods, and other locally sourced crafts and art.
Irvington Commons, 98 King Carter Drive, Irvington, VA
The Irvington Farmers Market has received the stamp of approval of locals and travel experts alike, including the honor of being named the Best Farmers Market on Virginia’s East Coast by Virginia Living Magazine. Vendors feature whole vegetables and fruits as well as an array of prepared foods like fresh homemade bread, artisanal cheeses, local honey, meat, and seafood. You can also shop for crafts, jewelry, clothing, furniture, glassware, baskets, soaps, artwork, and flowers. Food trucks join in, so you can enjoy a creative meal while you shop every first Saturday of the month from May through November.

Located in Taber Park, the Urbanna Farmer’s Market is close to the source! Every second Saturday May through September, the farmers market opens bring you River Realm freshness and locally made crafts and goods. Talk to local craftsman, ask questions to seafood purveyors, talk recipes with local farmers, and shop gifts with local artisans. By the time you’re all done, you’ll be bringing an armful of the River Realm home with you.
