The Reedville Fishermen’s Museum is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of the fishermen and watermen of Virginia's Northern Neck and lower Chesapeake Bay by acquiring, documenting, and displaying historically important artifacts in its galleries and exhibits. A world-class collection of traditional Chesapeake Bay watercraft, featuring 2 on the National Register of Historic Places: The Claud Somers, a 42'skipjack; and The Elva C., a 55' deck boat; are dockside. A number of educational programs, events, tours and lectures are offered throughout the year for groups of all ages. The story of Reedville is linked to the commercial fishing industry, so come stroll the historic district, and enjoy our interpretation of the area's maritime heritage.
