El Centro D.F., the authentic Mexican restaurant founded by chef and restauranteur Richard Sandoval, opened officially on September 16 with a ribbon cutting at Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. The restaurant will be managed by Diane Wilner of Grace Restaurants and will be located at Terminal B/C, post security. The location will provide all of the usual dishes of the local area restaurant, and be open from 5:00am until 10:00pm.
The restaurant is among the growing list of tenants chosen by the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority (MWAA), to provide travelers with a diverse array of shopping and dining options. MWAA, Chef Sandoval and Diane were in attendance at the ribbon cutting and expressed how excited they were to bring the restaurant to DCA.
"“I am excited to bring authentic Mexican cuisine and the energy of Mexico City to the Reagan Airport and its travelers," stated chef Sandoval. "Tacos and tequila can always enhance any airport experience!”
The ceremony concluded with remarks from MWAA's Steve Baker and Diane Wilner.
